Baltic Sea Lions has created a “Co-ordination Group” including members from each member country. The main aim of the group is to safeguard co-ordination of activities and further general co-operation between Lions clubs, regions, zones and districts.
Tasks of the Co-ordination Group
- Establish a atmosphere of mutual trust and respect
-
Work with interested Lions Clubs, regions, zones and districts
-
Act as focal point for suitable projects and secure implementation of and support for activities
-
Act as information hub for projects and build networks across the Baltic Sea region
-
Strengthen each “link” of the Baltic chain
The Co-ordination Group appoints a president and vice president for two years. When the vice president succeeds the president after his/her period a new vice president will be elected.
The group is to meet annually changing location between member countries. This will ensure consistency in the Baltic Sea Lions mission to promote and embrace cultural diversity and understanding among its members.
A major aspect in this regard is the promotion of Jumelages between individual clubs and club clusters e.g. Estonia and 111N Germany.
